The desert-bred mare Rodania is a very important tail female line in our breeding program, you can see why from her wonderful confirmation in this Peter Upton painting.
Rodania is a foundation mare of Crabbet breeding and is responsible for more US National Champions than any other tail female line. In Russia she is one of the most important tail female lines in racing and is also the tail female line of the most essential horse in Russian breeding, Priboj. She is even found in the straight Egyptian stallion given as a gift to Russia, Aswan.
Rodania is also an important mare in straight Egyptian breeding. Her progeny include the renowned Egyptian horses Alaa el Din, *Serenity Sonbolah, Al Adeed Al Shaqab, Imperial Imdal and Lancers Asmara. Her influence is widespread.
