In August of 2000 Patti, her son Tory Bailey, and Jerel Harris hosted HH
Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s sons, the Royal Princes Hazza and
Khalid, to ride the Tevis trail in 4 days as a training ride, camping out
in the wilderness along the way. It was their Highnesses’ first trip
to the USA and the trail terrain, food, and our customs, a new experience
for them. It is an exciting story which we will expand on when W’rsan
Stables is our featured client. A great time and incredible learning experience
was had by all!
Prince Hazza was surprised and delighted to find we had a Sambist son
II Damb Much who was two at the time. The Royal Family had previously
arranged to purchase two mares from us ... the lovely Remington Steele*++
daughter Lady Steele Amie and the Flars Moon Seeqr daughter
SQR Moondance thanks to the help of Nat Gorham and Barbara Schuler.
We were thrilled that “Amie” was bred to the spectacular race horse
Monarch AH and produced Al Khattar W'rsan owned by HH Sheikh
Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, UAE and managed by our dear friend,
the very astute horsewoman Deirdre Hyde.
